Our studio has a recreational stream and competitive stream for dancers ages 5 & up.

Our LD Division classes are for students that are interested in learning to dance without the pressures of festival/competition performances or examinations in dance.

We aim to make these classes fun and relaxed, while also educating dancers in the foundations of dance to ensure safe practice and provide a solid base from which to move into our Performance (competitive) Stream, if desired.

If you are interested in learning more about our Performance (competitive) Stream, please visit our Performance Stream page. Our Competition dancers successfully complete dance examinations and perform award-winning dances at a variety of competitions each Spring!

NOTE: Age ranges provided below are approximate ages. Based on previous experience, some dancers may be placed in a group outside of the approximate age ranges listed.

Dance Instructor

Heather Mackie

Modern/Contemporary

Wednesdays 6:45 - 7:30pm

We are excited to offer a beginner Modern class this year! Modern was born out of rebellion of the classical ballet discipline and uses more free, expressive movements. Modern and Contemporary dance are often featured on shows such as "So You Think You Can Dance".

We recommend that students have at least 1 year of dance experience to join this class.

AcroDance

AcroDance 1
Thursdays 5:15 - 6:00pm (Ages 6-9)
AcroDance 2 (experience required)
Mondays 5:30 - 6:15pm

If your child loves to roll, cartwheel, and twirl, this may be the class for her or him!

Join Miss Heather, certified Acrobatic Arts Junior levels instructor, to improve strength, flexibility and roll, tumble and flip!

AcroDance trains the floor work of gymnastics - tricks such as cartwheels, handstands, back walkovers, balances, and partner tricks - along with the basic skills of dance. The goal of AcroDance is to train these skills safely and in a way that dancers can easily blend their tricks into the dance routine without pausing to prepare and finish (like you will often see a gymnast do in a routine).
